Hello! I work and live on the beautiful traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the Pentlach, E’iksan, Sahtloot and Sasitla Peoples, which today comprise the K’ómoks First Nation. In 2021, I made a big career leap from a 15-year career in student affairs into the healthcare space and am so very happy I did! I have experience in project management, organizational development, team development, and stakeholder engagement. What I love about working in the ISU is the variety of work – no two days are the same and getting to jump into new projects and try out new things is a fantastic way to develop new skills. One area I have been enjoying learning about recently is the scope of practice for nurses and how that fits into primary care. Outside work I love cooking, thrifting, and cold dipping. I have also been known in some circles as The Focaccia Whisperer – producing frequent and unnecessary (necessary!) amounts of the tastiest focaccia. And jam – I make lots of jam. If you want the recipe send me an email at tlell.elviss@ubc.ca.
