Senior Manager – Research and Evaluation
I joined the ISU in 2020, having emigrated from the UK to live and work on the beautiful traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən speaking peoples and the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work with such a wonderful and diverse team, and to collaborate with individuals in clinics, communities and organizations across the province.
My background includes mixed methods academic research primarily focused on how patients interact with primary care for suspected cancer symptoms, as well as experience in clinical trial project management and healthcare database development for quality improvement initiatives. Throughout my career I have been passionate about evidence-informed decision-making and using data for improvement. My work at the ISU allows me to combine these aspects, bringing action-oriented research and evaluation together to support change in primary care to improve the health system for everyone.
Outside of work you can find me out on my road bike or planning my next adventure. I love to travel to new places, and sometimes the bike comes too!
